Wills
Creating a will is easier together
What’s the biggest thing that puts people off creating a will? The belief that it will be complex, or stressful. While it’s true that a will is a very important document, we’re here to make creating one as simple and stress-free as possible.
How do we manage that? Because we have many years’ experience helping people create wills that honour their last wishes, and that make the organisation of their passing easier for their loved ones.
Five reasons for creating a will
Appoint a guardian
Your will can clearly state who should look after your children, if they’re under 18 when you die. Without an appointed guardian, social services and the courts may need to become involved in deciding who looks after them.
What’s included in a standard will from Fenix?
1. A personal adviser, every step of the way.
Starting with an initial telephone consultation to understand your circumstances and instructions, our legal adviser is there for you, no matter what you need. We’re here to guide you through the process, and to make it as simple as possible.
2. Approving, signing, printing.
We’ll upload the draft of your will to a secure online account area. There you’ll be able to approve it, or request any changes. Once agreement is reached, your will is printed, bound, and posted to you, along with clear and detailed instructions about signing it.
3. Invaluable legal expertise
There are several legal requirements for a will to be valid. For example, it needs to be carefully drafted to ensure your wishes are not misinterpreted; and it needs to be signed in front of two legally-approved witnesses. But relax: our expertise ensures every will is legally binding.
Plan your funeral, ease the burden.
Here at Fenix, we can help you prepare for every aspect of a death. For example, we can help you plan funerals that perfectly match your wishes, beliefs, and budget. Along every step of the way, you’ll have a personal adviser to make the process as stress-free as possible.
For a small extra charge, we can include a “statement of wishes” in your will, that sets out what your plans are for your funeral. This simple process will ensure that you get the funeral you want – and also makes things easier for your loved ones.
