From the A12 (London, Chelmsford, Witham direction):
As you approach Colchester on the A12, take the A1124 exit, following signs for Halstead and Stanway. At the roundabout at the top, turn right, following signs for "Mersea (B1025)." Continue following signs for "Mersea (B1025)" to ensure you're on the right route, and you will eventually see signs for the Crematorium. When you reach the B1025 at a tee junction, turn right for Mersea and left for the Crematorium. After passing the BP garage, the roundabout, and the zebra crossing, turn left into the gates and proceed up the Crematorium drive.
From A1124 (Halstead):
If you're coming from Halstead, follow the A1124, and then follow the directions above once you reach Colchester.
From London or Ipswich by train:
Arrive at North Station, the main Colchester station on the Liverpool Street to Ipswich mainline. Take a taxi from the station rank or, if you prefer public transport, walk down to the main road, turn right, cross the road, and find a bus stop.
By Bus:
From North Station or Colchester Town Station, take Network Colchester bus number 8 for Monkwick or First bus number 67 for Mersea. These buses will take you to either the Cemetery gate or the Crematorium gate. Buses 66A and 175 also go to the Crematorium gate. The bus journey takes about 25 minutes, depending on traffic.
By Taxi:
Taxis are available at North Station and outside Marks and Spencer on High Street. The taxi journey from North Station to the Crematorium takes about 15 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
