Poole Crematorium

Poole Crematorium

Poole Crematorium, located off Gravel Hill, is currently undergoing changes and is not expected to reopen until 2024 or 2025. The crematorium has been without cremators since 2020 and has functioned solely as a ceremonial and memorial location, with bodies transported to Bournemouth Crematorium for cremation after funeral services. This situation arose due to the need for significant upgrades and the decision to invest in new, environmentally friendly electric cremators.

The decision to reinstate Poole Crematorium as an operational facility came after public demand, including a petition and the advocacy of local funeral directors and community groups.

Please remember: you need to book an appointment at the Poole Crematorium in order to discuss your plans. We’d be happy to help you do this, so feel free to get in touch with one of our personal advisers.
