Wakefield Crematorium
Wakefield Crematorium, situated on Standbridge Lane, is one of two crematoriums serving the Wakefield area, the other being Pontefract. Together, these facilities perform over 3,000 cremations annually. The crematorium in Wakefield boasts its own chapel, accommodating up to 72 individuals. For those unable to attend the service in person, live web streaming of the ceremony is available, allowing friends and family to participate remotely through a secure online connection. A DVD recording of the ceremony can be provided.
The crematorium offers a Wesley music system with an extensive collection of organ recordings, hymns, and everyday music accessible online. After the cremation service, families have the option to arrange various memorials at the facility.
Wakefield Crematorium's operating hours are from Monday to Thursday, 9 am to 5 pm, Friday 9 am to 4:30 pm, and weekends from 9 am to 5 pm (April to October) or 9 am to 9 pm (November to March).

At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Leeds Road/A6539, and at the next roundabout, take the third exit to stay on Leeds Road/A639/A6539. Continue on Bruce Smeaton Way/A6539, and at the Cutsyke Road North Roundabout, take the second exit onto Cutsyke Road/A6539. At the Cutsyke Road South Roundabout, take the second exit onto Castleford Lane/A6539, passing through one roundabout.
Continue onto A655, and at Loscoe Lane Roundabout, take the second exit, staying on A655. At the next roundabout, take the 1st exit to stay on A655. Use the left lane to turn right onto Doncaster Road/A638, then at the roundabout, take the 1st exit to remain on Doncaster Road/A638.
Turn left onto Agbrigg Road/B6389 and continue for about 0.7 miles. Continue on Barnsley Road/A61, then follow Standbridge Lane to your destination. Finally, follow Standbridge Lane for less than a mile until you reach Wakefield Crematorium at Standbridge Lane.
