Treswithian Downs Crematorium

Treswithian Downs Crematorium

Treswithian Downs Crematorium is a serene sanctuary overlooking the picturesque countryside west of Camborne, providing a tranquil choice for the people of Cornwall.

Situated on Puggis Hill amidst 7 acres of beautiful countryside, Treswithian Downs Crematorium stands as one of the most environmentally friendly in Europe. The spacious and luminous chapel, constructed with natural wood and local granite, offers a warm and comforting ambience, complemented by picture windows framing magnificent valley views.

Equipped with an integrated state-of-the-art media system, the chapel provides an extensive music library, video and audio recording, and live webcast facilities. Tradition meets modernity with the inclusion of a Viscount organ in the multi-faith chapel, welcoming all forms of live music with prior arrangements.

Beautifully landscaped grounds, continuously evolving since opening, feature an abundance of trees, shrubs, and plants, enhancing the natural beauty of the crematorium. The Memorial Gardens offer a tranquil space for reflection.

At Treswithian Downs Crematorium, the oak-furnished chapel is the largest purpose-built in the county, seating 96 with additional standing space for 50. With a generous 60-minute interval between each service, including half an hour within the chapel, families are provided ample time for a personal and dignified farewell.

Flexibility is paramount, and the chapel can be adapted, with prior arrangement, to accommodate services of any religion or belief. A floral tribute area, discreetly located away from the chapel, provides a quiet space for gathering after the service, with tributes remaining on display for a minimum of three nights.

With approximately 70 allocated parking spaces and 4 disabled parking spaces, convenience is a priority. A modern digital music system caters to diverse musical preferences, and additional services include CD or DVD recording and secure webcasting of the service.

Please remember: you need to book an appointment at the Treswithian Downs Crematorium in order to discuss your plans. We’d be happy to help you do this, so feel free to get in touch with one of our personal advisers.
