Carmountside Crematorium

Carmountside Crematorium

Carmountside Crematorium provides a peaceful and compassionate space for families to bid farewell to their loved ones. The large chapel, with seating for 150, is available for services, offering a dignified setting for meaningful farewells.

The grounds of Carmountside Crematorium feature various burial options, including new full earth graves, re-open graves, and designated areas for cremation ashes. The environmentally-friendly Woodland Park serves as a tranquil resting place, while the Sweet Dreams and Butterfly Garden provides a special area for children's and babies' burial and cremation ashes.

During the Christmas period, the gardens are adorned with trees, and families can sponsor starlights in memory of their loved ones. Features in the garden are funded by donations collected from the wishing well and contributions made following chapel services.

Carmountside Crematorium also boasts a war memorial and private gardens. Maintenance of the grounds ensures that after a burial, lawn graves are topped up as necessary, while turfing is typically done between October and March. Memorial items should be placed on the memorial foundation, and the crematorium staff ensures the removal of funeral wreaths and floral tributes in a respectful manner.

This serene crematorium reflects a commitment to providing a tranquil and caring environment for families to honour and remember their loved ones.

Please remember: you need to book an appointment at the Carmountside Crematorium in order to discuss your plans. We’d be happy to help you do this, so feel free to get in touch with one of our personal advisers.
