Wrexham Crematorium
Pentrebychan Crematorium, situated on the outskirts of Wrexham, serves approximately 1,700 families annually on its 40-acre grounds. Open 365 days a year, the crematorium features four gardens of remembrance where families can peacefully scatter the cremated remains of their loved ones. Various memorialisation options are available for those seeking a focal point to honour their dearly departed.
The annual Memorial Service, typically held in July, commemorates friends and family cremated at Pentrebychan. The crematorium's opening hours vary by season, and the office is open Monday to Friday. Toilet facilities are accessible during office hours.
The spacious chapel accommodates 120 mourners, with additional standing room and full-length windows providing a sense of light and space. Service times are typically 30 minutes, customisable based on personal preferences. The chapel is equipped with a loop system, and extended service times can be arranged for an additional fee.
Four scenic gardens, including the Walled Garden, Wisteria Walk, Lily Pool, and Daffodil Meadow, offer serene locations for scattering remains. Dogs are not allowed in the chapel or gardens, except for assistance dogs.
The crematorium, opened in 1966, replaced Pentrebychan Hall, which dates back to the 17th century. The estate's rich history and ancestral ties contribute to the tranquil ambience of the Pentrebychan Crematorium, providing families with a dignified setting to remember and honour their loved ones.

The office is closed between 12:30 and 1:00pm during the week. The crematorium ground's opening hours from April 1 to October 31 are weekdays 9 am to 6 pm, and weekends and bank holidays 10 am to 6 pm. From November 1 to March 31, the hours are weekdays 9 am to 4 pm, and weekends and bank holidays 10 am to 4 pm.

By road, from the A483, follow the signs for Johnstown, Rhosllanerchrugog, and Rhostyllen. At the roundabout, head towards Johnstown. Take the second right onto Smithy Lane, following the signs for the crematorium. From Smithy Lane, turn right onto Pentre Bychan Road, and the crematorium will be on the left.
By public transportation, take bus service number 4 or 4B from Wrexham Bus Station. Both routes pass directly by the crematorium (refer to the bus timetables for the schedule).
