Loughborough Crematorium

Loughborough Crematorium

Established in 1960 for the Borough of Loughborough, Loughborough Crematorium stands as a pillar of support during challenging times, dedicated by the Lord Bishop of Leicester. The caring and dedicated staff at the crematorium extend dignity and respect to every family, providing assistance at every step of the funeral service.

Following an extension and refurbishment in 1993, the facilities boast a redesigned entrance, offering families protection from adverse weather conditions. The All Souls chapel, rededicated in January 1995, provides ample space for larger funeral services. Ensuring accessibility, the crematorium features wheelchair ramps, Braille service books, and a hearing loop system. The option of mausoleum burials is available.

Committed to local families, Loughborough Crematorium provides an extended service time of 45 minutes, surpassing the standard duration in many other crematoria. The tranquil gardens of remembrance, accessible 365 days a year, offer a diverse selection of memorials, including rose beds and private gardens. The crematorium's offices and grounds remain open to the public, with appointments available for cremated remains collection, memorial consultations, and visits to the Book of Remembrance Room during normal office hours. With ample parking and continuous support, Loughborough Crematorium remains a comforting space for families seeking solace and remembrance.
