Clydebank Crematorium

Clydebank Crematorium

Nestled in the serene surroundings of North Dalnottar Cemetery, at the junction of Great Western Road (A82) and Mountblow Road, Clydebank Crematorium stands as a testament to thoughtful design and compassionate services. This tranquil facility was conceptualised by Sir Frank Mears & Partners and warmly opened its doors in 1967. Its strategic location to the west of Duntocher, easily accessible from the A82, makes it a central point for the West Dunbartonshire community.

The chapel, designed to accommodate a congregation of 270, features seating on the ground floor and a balcony area where the organist plays, seating an additional seventy persons. The waiting rooms on either side, equipped with visitor and disabled facilities, provide solace and comfort.

The crematorium is equipped with modern amenities, including an Allan Organ and facilities for playing taped and CD music. Accommodating the diverse needs of visitors, the facility offers disabled parking, a deaf-aid dynamic loop system, and disabled toilets. A flower room adds a touch of natural beauty, while the Hall of Remembrance, housing the Books of Remembrance, stands as a place for quiet reflection.

The Hall of Remembrance, where the Books of Remembrance are located, opens its doors to visitors during specific hours.

Please remember: you need to book an appointment at the Clydebank Crematorium in order to discuss your plans. We’d be happy to help you do this, so feel free to get in touch with one of our personal advisers.
