Carlisle Crematorium

Carlisle Crematorium

Overlooking the picturesque landscape of Carlisle and the Solway Plain, the solemn presence of Carlisle Crematorium graces Dalston Road, offering a compassionate haven for bereaved families in the local area.

As a sanctuary for those who seek the solace of cremation, Carlisle Crematorium provides a flexible approach to funeral services. Families can opt for the entire committal service to unfold within the peaceful confines of the crematorium chapel. Alternatively, a portion of the service may be held at another place of worship, followed by a concluding ceremony at the crematorium.

The bereaved are offered a diverse array of memorial options to commemorate their loved ones. Bronze or granite plaques, teak seats, remembrance cards, memorial vases and tablets, garden memorials, and inclusion in the Book of Remembrance are among the choices available, providing families with a range of personal and meaningful ways to preserve the memory of those they have lost.

Conveniently accessible, the crematorium offers free parking near the main building, ensuring that attendees can focus on the ceremony without the burden of logistical concerns. To accommodate the needs of all visitors, the facility is equipped with toilets, including disabled facilities, promoting inclusivity and comfort during emotional times.

Please remember: you need to book an appointment at the Carlisle Crematorium in order to discuss your plans. We’d be happy to help you do this, so feel free to get in touch with one of our personal advisers.
