Hawkinge Crematorium

Hawkinge Crematorium

Hawkinge Crematorium has been serving the local communities of Folkestone in Kent since the 1950s. The crematorium holds a significant historical connection as it is located on the site of an airfield that played a crucial role during the Battle of Britain. The multi-faith chapel at Hawkinge Crematorium offers ample seating capacity for larger gatherings, and it provides the option to have live music performed on the chapel's organ or played through its music system. The facility is fully accessible, with provisions for disabled access, disabled toilets, and a hearing loop for the comfort and convenience of all visitors.

The gardens of remembrance at Hawkinge Crematorium are aptly named Hurricane and Spitfire, after the iconic aeroplanes that were once based at the airfield. These serene gardens offer a peaceful setting for reflection and remembrance. Families have the opportunity to choose from a variety of memorial options that can be installed within the gardens, allowing for personalised and meaningful tributes.

Please remember: you need to book an appointment at the Hawkinge Crematorium in order to discuss your plans. We’d be happy to help you do this, so feel free to get in touch with one of our personal advisers.
