Forest of Dean Crematorium

Forest of Dean Crematorium

Situated within the scenic Forest of Dean, the crematorium offers a picturesque chapel with expansive bay windows framing the breathtaking forest views. The team feels privileged to provide services in this unique and natural setting. Recognised as one of the most picturesque chapels under Westerleigh ownership, it accommodates 77 seated individuals with standing room for 30. Outdoor speakers extend the service ambience to those beyond the chapel.

Equipped with an organ for traditional melodies and the flexibility for families to curate distinctive funeral experiences, the chapel caters to diverse needs. The commitment to environmental sustainability is evident through advanced technology, positioning the Forest of Dean crematorium as a global leader in eco-friendly practices.

Funeral services are thoughtfully scheduled every 60 minutes, with 30 minutes allocated in the chapel, ensuring each family has ample time for a personalised and dignified service. Recognising the significance of cultural and religious diversity, the chapel can be adapted, with prior arrangements, to accommodate various beliefs.

Adjacent to the chapel, a serene floral tribute area offers a space for reflection after the service. Floral tributes remain displayed outside for a minimum of three nights, honouring the memory of the departed. With approximately 35 allocated parking spaces and additional parking within the grounds, accessibility is prioritised.

Enhancing the funeral experience, the crematorium boasts a modern digital music system that accommodates almost any musical preference. At the Forest of Dean crematorium, the team endeavours to create an environment where families find solace, commemorating their loved ones in harmony with the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape.
