Salisbury Crematorium

Salisbury Crematorium

Opened in 1960, Salisbury Crematorium, set on the outskirts of the city, is a haven of serenity covering 6.5 acres. Designed by Colvin, its enchanting gardens, lawns, and woodlands provide a picturesque backdrop for farewells.

The Chapel, adaptable to various preferences, allows for the removal of the cross and provides an intimate space for quiet reflection or personalised words accompanied by special music. Services, held every hour, allocate 35 minutes for the Chapel ceremony, followed by 25 minutes on the Colonnade for family and friends to gather, share condolences, and view floral tributes.

For larger gatherings, double time slots are available upon request, ensuring ample time or accommodating a considerable number of attendees. The Chapel is not solely confined to cremation services; it is also open for funeral services before burial elsewhere or in the Avenue Cemetery. Notably, floral tributes, unless otherwise specified, remain on the lower colonnade for a minimum of four days, offering a serene atmosphere for remembrance.

Please remember: you need to book an appointment at the Salisbury Crematorium in order to discuss your plans. We’d be happy to help you do this, so feel free to get in touch with one of our personal advisers.
