Macclesfield Crematorium
Macclesfield Crematorium, located within the Cemetery grounds on Prestbury Road, has been a place of solemnity since its opening on August 17, 1960. It occupies the former Non-Conformist Chapel and boasts a commanding position overlooking the serene Whitfield Brook valley adjacent to West Park.
A culvert from Whitfield House flows beneath Prestbury Road, feeding into a central pool, the heart of the Garden of Remembrance. The valley-side setting, adorned with pathways winding through magnificent trees and vibrant shrubs, imparts an atmosphere of tranquility and natural beauty.
The chapel is open for funeral services of all denominations and sects, accommodating up to 78 mourners with movable seating. Braille service books are available upon request, and wheelchair accessibility is provided within the chapel.
Each service is allocated 40 minutes, extendable if needed. Services may take place entirely at the Crematorium or be preceded by a ceremony at a church or another venue.
Parking options at Macclesfield Crematorium include two cemetery car parks accessible via Prestbury Road and Westminster Road, with limited disabled parking.

Follow Bramhall Lane S/A5102, and at another roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Chester Rd/A5149. Continue straight.
Next, follow A523 to Westminster Rd in Macclesfield. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Poynton Relief Rd/Roy Chadwick Wy/A523, then at the following roundabout, take the second exit onto London Rd/A523. Stay on The Silk Rd/A523 at the next roundabout and continue to the next one, where you'll again take the second exit onto The Silk Rd/A523. Proceed to the roundabout and take the third exit onto A537. At the next roundabout, take the second exit onto Cumberland St/A537, and at the subsequent roundabout, take the third exit onto Westminster Rd.
