Agecroft Crematorium, Salford

Agecroft Crematorium, Salford

Agecroft Crematorium dates back to 1957. It’s located on 45 acres of grounds within the Agecroft Cemetery.

The crematorium building was formerly the Non-Conformist burial chapel, which dates back to 1903. The chapel seats up to 90 mourners and has a loop system and wheelchair ramps to assist the disabled during the service. Outside speakers allow mourners to gather outside the crematorium during larger services, and webcasts and recordings can be arranged for an additional fee.

The chapel is open to both religious and non-religious ceremonies or celebrations of life. Religious symbols may be removed or added as required. After the cremation, the remains may be buried or scattered on the grounds, by prior arrangement and under the supervision of crematorium staff.

You will find plenty of water taps, mature trees, and peaceful gardens throughout the grounds. Maintenance of the many old buildings and monuments are regularly carried out by local volunteers.

Please remember: you need to book an appointment at the Agecroft Crematorium in order to discuss your plans. We’d be happy to help you do this, so feel free to get in touch with one of our personal advisers.
