Dukinfield Cemetery and Crematorium, situated in a quaint village east of Manchester, offers a serene and historic setting for funeral services and remembrance. The chapel, constructed in 1865, showcases captivating architectural features and can accommodate up to 100 individuals. Within the chapel, facilities such as an organ and sound system are available, providing a means to play music that holds special significance during your loved one's service. 

Adjacent to the chapel, the Remembrance Room invites visitors to find solace and reflection, while also providing access to the Book of Remembrance.

In addition to the chapel and Remembrance Room, Dukinfield Cemetery and Crematorium offer essential amenities to ensure a comfortable and accessible experience. The premises include toilets and waiting areas for visitors, and wheelchairs can be borrowed to assist those with mobility needs. Disabled toilets are also available within the crematorium building, catering to individuals with specific accessibility requirements. As for parking, ample space is provided along the driveway that runs through the centre of the cemetery, facilitating convenient access for visitors.

Surrounding the crematorium, the Gardens of Remembrance offer a peaceful and intimate area suitable for the scattering of ashes. Directions

 From Manchester city centre, head south on Oxford Road.

  • Turn left onto Hyde Road and follow it for approximately 3 miles.
  • Turn right onto Hall Green Road and follow it for approximately 1 mile.
  • The crematorium will be on your left.
  • Alternatively, you can take the Metrolink to Dukinfield Metrolink station. The crematorium is a short walk from the station.
