Accrington Crematorium, nestled within Accrington Cemetery on Burnley Road, BB5 6HA, offers a serene and picturesque setting. The approach is adorned with vibrant lime trees and perpetual flower beds that bloom year-round, gracing the path to the chapel. Over a century old, the chapel boasts a charming allure with high ceilings, beams, and stained glass windows.

Serving communities like Hyndburn, Rossendale, Ribble Valley, Pendle, Burnley, Blackburn, and Bury, the crematorium accommodates everyone seeking its services. They prioritise dignity with 40-minute intervals between services, allowing ample time for each.

Ample parking, accessible areas, and restroom facilities, open seasonally, ensure convenience.

Throughout the cemetery, seating areas encourage contemplation and remembrance, while water taps and waste bins are thoughtfully placed. Commemoration options include Rose Garden Ashes Graves, Ashes Graves, Memorial Wall, Garden of Remembrance, Book of Remembrance, Memorial Trees, and a Stone Book of Remembrance.

Directions

  • From Blackburn: Take the A666 to Accrington. Turn right onto Burnley Rd/A679. Continue for about 1.5 miles. The crematorium will be on your left.
  • From Burnley: Take the M65 south to Junction 8. Take the A679 east to Accrington. Continue for about 2 miles. The crematorium will be on your right.
  • From Preston: Take the M6 north to Junction 29. Take the A675 west to Accrington. Continue for about 5 miles. The crematorium will be on your left.
  • From Chorley: Take the A676 east to Accrington. Continue for about 3 miles. The crematorium will be on your right.
