Enfield Crematorium, Greater London

Enfield Crematorium, Greater London

Enfield Crematorium is one of London’s largest crematorium. The multi-faith North and South Chapels can seat 150 mourners each. The crematorium is known for its sizeable Garden of Remembrance, which covers more than 50 acres.

The crematorium itself is a listed, red brick building, while the gardens offer a tranquil respite with numerous benches where mourners and visitors can sit and reflect.  The chapels are connected by a triple-arched arcade, while an avenue of large horse chestnuts guide visitors to the entrance lodge. Yews, and hedged and walled geometrical gardens can be found on the Great Cambridge Road side of the grounds.

There is a courtyard in the outer areas where floral tributes way be viewed, connected by a series of cloistered walkways, and a small Room of Remembrance. A Portland stone memorial can be found in the Garden of Remembrance, dedicated to British service personnel who passed away during World War II.
