Breakspear Crematorium, Hillingdon

Breakspear Crematorium, Hillingdon

The Breakspear Crematorium was established in 1957 on land donated to the Hillingdon Council by a local farmer. The grounds still feature the traditional chapel, although a second, more modern chapel was built in 1972. The sprawling 26-acre gardens are located close to Ruislip Lido Beach and feature areas of unspoilt natural beauty as well as more formal arrangements. There is a real sense of peace and tranquillity that will provide comfort to those in mourning.

Remains may be returned to earth in the gardens, and mourners have the option of witnessing the scattering by prior arrangement. The beautiful and well-maintained Gardens of Remembrance are open to all throughout the entire year.

Mourners have the option of making an entry in the Book of Remembrance, which is on display within the Hall of Memory next to the East Chapel.

Please remember: you need to book an appointment at the Brakespear Crematorium in order to discuss your plans. We’d be happy to help you do this, so feel free to get in touch with one of our personal advisers.
