Beckenham Crematorium, Kent
Beckenham Crematorium was first opened in 1956. The gardens offer tranquility and quiet, with a beautiful waterfall and peaceful green spaces, covering 44 acres next to South Norwood Country Park. An area with rockwork, cascades and pools are located directly behind the chapel.
Both religious and non-religious celebrations of life can be held within the chapel. Religious symbols may be added or removed for the service. Music and audio-visual equipment is available to mourners who wish to display photographs or play a special musical number in honor of the departed. Ashes may be buried or scattered on the grounds, by prior arrangement and under the supervision of the crematorium staff.
Conveniently located near Birkbeck and Elmer’s End Stations in Borough of Bromley, the crematorium is contained within cemetery grounds dating back to 1876. The chapel is an old building that survived a World War II bombing, repurposed for its current use. It is able to accommodate large services in 45 minute slots.
The grounds host a memorial to cricketer WG Grace and automaker Frederick Wolseley.

From the A213, head northeast on Croydon Road towards Weighton Road. Turn right onto Samos Road, left onto Marlow Road and right onto Elmers End Road (A214) to the crematorium.
From the A205, head northeast on South Circular Rd/Thurlow Park Rd/A205 towards Dalmore Rd and continue on Dalmore Road to Rosendale Road. Follow Rosendale and Park Hall Road to South Croxted Road/A2199 in West Dulwich. Follow the road to Farquhar Road and continue to Crystal Palace. Turn left onto the A214 and the crematorium.
By rail, visitors can take the Birkbeck and Elmers End line and the tram at Elmers End. The Nr 354 Bus travels to Beckenham Crematorium.
