City of London Crematorium, Newham

City of London Crematorium, Newham

The City of London Crematorium in Newham is a beautifully kept crematorium with three cremation chapels that seat between 80 and 100 mourners, with additional standing room available for larger crowds. Each chapel is equipped with a Wesley Music System and good toilet facilities.

The chapel is available for traditional religious ceremonies (of all faiths) as well as non-religious celebrations of life. Families may arrange for their own minister or celebrant to oversee the ceremony. The chapel is accessible for wheelchair users and there is an induction loop to support visitors with disabilities.

There is an in-house florist known as Gatehouse Flowers that sells flowers and grave ornaments as well as a café called the Poppy Pantry, which has a lovely fountain garden attached. Funeral receptions may be held at the café.

The Garden of Remembrance is beautifully kept, with shrubs, flowers, and mature trees where wildlife is encouraged to thrive.

The crematorium has a large car park with ample parking space and excellent gate staff to welcome and direct mourners.

Please remember: you need to book an appointment at the City of London Crematorium in order to discuss your plans. We’d be happy to help you do this, so feel free to get in touch with one of our personal advisers.
