Hendon Crematorium, Barnet
Hendon Crematorium is situated within the Hendon cemetery and 42 acres of parkland. The site is the home of one of the largest collections of mature trees within Barnet, as well as numerous birds and wild animals.
There are two non-conformist chapels available for use, seven days a week. Funeral services may be religious or non-religious, and families may invite a minister or celebrant of their choosing for the ceremony.
Hendon Crematorium and Cemetery are reflective of the community it serves. There are sections dedicated to the Greek Orthodox Church, Muslim Burials and the Japanese Residents Association. A dedicated memorial to the fallen in both world wars can be found on the site, as well.
The memorial gardens are truly magnificent and attract sparrowhawks, jays, squirrels and wildlife throughout the year. In July 2016, the cemetery introduced a colony of 80,000 working honey bees (located in a remote compound on the grounds). Families are welcome to visit throughout the year to pay their respects or to reflect on the loved ones they have lost.
Please remember: you need to book an appointment at the Hendon Crematorium in order to discuss your plans. We’d be happy to help you do this, so feel free to get in touch with one of our personal advisers.
