Eltham Crematorium, Greenwich

Eltham Crematorium, Greenwich

The Eltham crematorium opened in 1956. It’s run by a joint committee made up of the Royal Borough of Greenwich, the London Borough of Bexley and the Dartford Borough Council. The peaceful grounds features a Garden of Remembrance where floral tributes may be left, and several serene spots where ashes may be scattered or interred.

The crematorium was awarded Gold in 2014 in recognition of their compassionate and professional service. The crematorium offers tours of the facility, the Garden of Remembrance and memorial courts. There is an in-house florist on the grounds, known as The Pavilion, where floral arrangements, posies and refreshments may be purchased throughout the year.

There are two non-denominational chapels on the grounds, the West Chapel and the larger North Chapel. Both chapels are accessible for wheelchair users and have waiting areas, restrooms and induction loop systems that mourners may use.

Please remember: you need to book an appointment at the Test Valley Crematorium in order to discuss your plans. We’d be happy to help you do this, so feel free to get in touch with one of our personal advisers.
