The comprehensive facilities include a chapel accommodating up to 100 people, with the potential for additional standing and seating for 200 by utilising the foyer space. Equipped for larger gatherings of over 400 people, services can extend outdoors under the porte-cochere. Ample parking for 42 vehicles, along with overflow capacity, ensures the convenience of attendees.

The Garden of Remembrance, adorned with memorials crafted exclusively from British stone, harmoniously blends with the picturesque Suffolk countryside. Waveney Memorial Park and Crematorium caters to diverse preferences by offering cremation, natural burial, and traditional burial services.

The chapel boasts modern amenities, such as a hearing loop, Obitus media system, organ for hymns, public address system, plasma televisions for eulogies, and webcam facilities for remote viewing. The atmosphere is designed to be serene and comforting, with a subtle use of colour and tranquil views from the chapel's large window.

Directions

To reach Waveney Memorial Park and Crematorium, it's crucial to avoid certain routes suggested by satellite navigation systems, especially when coming from the South. Instead, if travelling from the South, it's recommended to take the A12 to Wrentham and proceed via the B1127 through Henstead and Hulver Street, ultimately reaching Ellough Airfield. The facility is well-signposted on the left.

For those coming from Lowestoft, there are two recommended routes. First, take the A146 toward Beccles and turn left onto B1127 Benacre Road at North Cove. Alternatively, from Carlton Colville, take Mutford Wood Lane, heading towards Mutford, and then turn right onto B1127 Benacre Road.

Visitors from Southwold can take the B1127 to Wrentham, passing through Henstead and Hulver Street. Meanwhile, those from Saxmundham, Yoxford, and Blythburg can reach the memorial park by following the A12 to Yoxford, then Blythburg, and finally, the B1127 Benacre Road.

For travellers from Halesworth, Wisset, Chediston, and Wenhaston, it's advisable to take the Beccles Road B1124, then A145, eventually reaching Ellough Industrial Estate.

If arriving from Harleston and Bungay, take the A143, then A146 towards Lowestoft, turning right onto B1127 Benacre Road at the Worlingham roundabout.

Beccles residents can reach the memorial park by forking right at the traffic lights towards Hulver and Wrentham on B1127 Ellough Road.

Unfortunately, the memorial park is not accessible via recognised public bus routes. The nearest train station is Beccles Train Station, which is approximately a 10-minute drive away. Various taxi companies in Beccles regularly drop off and collect visitors at the Memorial Park, with details available through an internet search.
