Basildon & District Crematorium
Basildon and District Crematorium, also known as Bowers Gifford Crematorium, is a privately owned crematorium located in Basildon, Essex. It offers views of the River Thames and Kent Hills, and has a warm and welcoming chapel that can accommodate up to 100 guests. The cremation service is open to all faiths and can be personalised to meet the family's wishes. Funeral services are allotted 40 minutes, but this can be extended for an extra charge.
The chapel is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including a digital music system, loudspeakers, and webcasting and recording services. The crematorium offers various memorial options, including traditional-style memorials, living memorials, and contemporary memorials. The office and chapel are open to visitors, and friendly staff are available to guide visitors upon appointment.

To get to Basildon & District Crematorium and Bowers Gifford Cemetery by car, follow signs from Sadlers Farm roundabout, which is at the junction of the A13 and A130. If coming from Basildon or Pitsea, pass the Bull public house on London Road (also known as Gun Hill) and turn right at the mini-roundabout as directed.
If travelling by rail, take the London (Fenchurch St) line to Southend and get off at Pitsea Station. From there, it is about a 1 1/4 mile taxi ride. Please note that Basildon Station should not be used, as it is at least 4 miles away from the crematorium and cemetery.
