Hastings Crematorium

Hastings Crematorium

Established in 1856, Hastings Cemetery and Crematorium spans an expansive 87-acre site on the northeastern outskirts of Hastings town, offering picturesque views of the Sussex Weald and Rye Bay. The Crematorium, inaugurated in 1956, has undergone recent updates, incorporating state-of-the-art emissions abatement equipment.

The facilities cater to multi-denominational burial and cremation, featuring an 80+ seated chapel with overflow space for larger congregations. An undercover flower area is also provided for the display of flowers following the service.

The cemetery presents diverse options for laying loved ones to rest, including a natural woodland burial area, Woodland Walk for the scattering of ashes in a tranquil environment, the Garden of Remembrance, and purchased burial and cremated remains plots across various sections.

To commemorate and celebrate the lives of family and friends, a range of memorial choices is available, such as The Book of Remembrance, memorial seats, various plaques, and tree and shrub memorializations.

Please remember: you need to book an appointment at the Hastings Crematorium in order to discuss your plans. We’d be happy to help you do this, so feel free to get in touch with one of our personal advisers.
