It is located near Coundon Village and serves communities in and around Bishop Auckland, Newton Aycliffe, and County Durham. The crematorium is known for its state-of-the-art chapel, accommodating larger funerals. Additionally, the grounds feature a serene lake and offer various memorials like rose beds and private gardens, promoting a tranquil environment for contemplation.

From Durham: Follow A167, B6288 and Eden Terrace to Tees Walk. Head southeast on Alexandria Cres/A690 toward Crossgate Peth. Turn right onto Crossgate Peth/A690. Turn left onto Darlington Rd/A167. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit and stay on A167. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Front St/B6288.
Continue to follow B6288 til you reach the roundabout, and take the 2nd exit onto Vyners Cl/B6288. Take the 2nd exit at the roundabout and stay on Vyners Cl/B6288. Continue to follow B6288 and get onto West View/B6287. Continue onto Eden Terrace Continue on Tees Walk to your destination
From Bishop Auckland: Head northwest on A689 toward A689, go through 1 roundabout and Take N Bondgate to Durham Rd. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto High Bondgate.
At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto N Bondgate and continue onto Market Pl. Market Pl turns slightly right and becomes Castle Chare. Take A689 to Tees Walk and turn left onto Durham Rd when you reach the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A689. Continue on Tees Walk, and at the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Tees Walk, turn right, and then left.

The closest bus stop is Coundon Road End where bus 35a stops from Bishops Auckland on the way to Ferry Hill.
