Trent Valley Crematorium
Trent Valley Crematorium, a stunning building situated in the Derbyshire countryside, opened its doors in July 2018. The architecture incorporates glass walls that offer breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside, while the chapel maintains an intimate ambience. The crematorium welcomes funerals of all faiths, denominations, and non-religious ceremonies.
The chapel can comfortably seat 140 individuals, and for larger funerals, an additional 200 people can be accommodated in the waiting and reception area, where multiple screens provide a view of the service. Regular services last for 60 minutes, held from Monday to Friday, with weekend services available by appointment at a higher rate. While on-site memorials are not available for purchase, the gardens of remembrance offer a serene space for reflection.
The crematorium office operates from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, while the grounds are open from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm on the same days. Trent Valley Crematorium provides parking facilities, disabled access, toilets, and a hearing loop system for individuals with hearing impairments.

From Ashbourne, head north on A515 for 9.8 miles. Turn right onto A50 for 3.8 miles. Take the exit toward A5010/Alvaston. Turn right onto A5010. Continue for 0.5 miles. Turn right onto Trent Valley Crematorium Road.
You can get to Trent Valley Crematorium by train from Derby, Burton-on-Trent, or Ashbourne. The train station is in Alvaston, which is a short walk from the crematorium. You can also take Bus number 6, 2 or 5.
