Markeaton Crematorium
Markeaton Crematorium provides two chapels for cremation services, accommodating various needs. The main chapel seats 98 individuals with standing room available, while the round chapel has seating for 40 individuals with limited standing room.
Each chapel has its own waiting room equipped with toilet facilities, and the Main Chapel also offers facilities for disabled visitors. Service times are available from 8 am to 3:30 pm, scheduled hourly, allowing 45 minutes for the service and 15 minutes for preparation and chapel transition. The Wesley Music System enhances the atmosphere in both chapels.
The visitor's car park is accessible from Markeaton Lane, featuring clear signage. Additionally, there's a smaller car park near the main building for less mobile and disabled visitors. Wheelchair access is provided via ramps, with a wheelchair available on request.
The grounds are open seven days a week, with office hours from 8:30 am to 4 pm on weekdays. The Book of Remembrance Room welcomes visitors throughout the year. Floral tributes from funerals are respectfully removed after one week, while cut flowers and potted plants for anniversaries can be placed on the Flower Terrace. A policy governs the removal of flowers and memorabilia from the grounds, ensuring tidiness and preservation.

At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Derby Rd/A516. Take the exit toward Markeaton/Markeaton Lane. The crematorium will be on the left.
From Nottingham, start by heading southwest on Clifton Blvd/A52. Travel through A6008, Castle Blvd, and A6005 to reach Clifton Blvd/A52. Continue on Clifton Boulevard/A52 and Brian Clough Way until you reach Eastgate/The Upas in West Meadows Industrial Estate. Next, take A601 to Ashbourne Rd/A52 in Derby. At the subsequent roundabout, take the second exit onto Ashbourne Rd/A52. Finally, drive to Markeaton Lane, and you will arrive at Markeaton Crematorium.
