Taunton Deane Crematorium
Taunton Deane Crematorium, established in 1963 and serving Taunton, Wellington, and the surrounding areas, boasts Grade 2 listed buildings constructed from locally quarried stone. The beautifully landscaped grounds feature a large garden of remembrance, contributing to its Civic Award received in 1965.
The crematorium chapel provides seating for 120 individuals, with standing room for over 100. Music can be played on a live pipe organ or chosen from a digital music system. Services can be webcasted for mourners unable to attend in person. Mourners arriving early can make use of the waiting rooms, and public toilets are available on-site.
The gardens of remembrance offer a range of memorial options, and the crematorium features areas where families can leave personal mementoes. The facility also organises Christmas tree sponsorship, allowing families to honour their loved ones with star lights.
The crematorium offers various services, including photo tributes displayed on chapel screens, webcasting of services, and high-quality recordings available on DVD, Blu-ray, or USB. The chapel can accommodate personalisation requests, such as customised lighting and displayed items.
