Lodge Hill Cemetery and Crematorium
Situated in Birmingham's Selly Oak district, Lodge Hill Crematorium occupies over 61 acres of serene landscape. Alongside conventional graves, the crematorium features the Acorn Hollow babies and children’s memorial garden, a peaceful haven adorned with hand-carved deer and rabbits, adjacent to the rose garden.
Dating back to the 1930s, it marked Birmingham's inaugural municipal crematorium, designed by architect Holland W. Hobbiss. The venue encompasses a waiting room, a Book of Remembrance chamber, and orchard-style scattering lawns with terraced landscapes.
Memorial options range from plaques and benches to vaults and mini graves, catering to various remembrance preferences.
