Birmingham Crematorium, Warwickshire

Birmingham Crematorium (previously known as the Perry Barr Crematorium) opened in 1903. The crematorium was designed by Frank Osborne. A columbarium was added in 1928. The crematorium has been remodelled internally twice. The last renovation took place in 2003, when pews were replaced by chairs. The ceiling was painted and a gallery was remodeled. 

The chapel can accommodate large funerals and as access for the disabled, including disabled toilets, ramps, braille service books and a hearing loop. Services are open to all faiths and denominations. There are 50 parking spots available. 

The peaceful gardens of remembrance includes several options for memorials, including roses and private gardens. Staff are available to help mourners choose a personalized memorial option and the gardens are open 365 days a year.  

Families may choose to scatter or bury the ashes of their loved ones can dedicate a plaque, bench, or living memorial to their memory.

Directions

From the A34, head northwest and turn right onto Beeches Road. Turn left onto Foden Road, and at the roundabout take the first exit onto Booths Farm Road. Turn left onto Walsall Road and left at Rocky Lane. The crematorium will be on your left. 

From Hamstead Hill/B4124, head north towards Manway Close and turn left onto Walsall Road. Continue to follow the road until you reach Rocky Lane. 

The nearest bus stop is Rocky Lane and the crematorium is accessible via rail and the West Midlands Railway.
