Streetly Crematorium (Walsall)
Situated midway between Walsall and Sutton Coldfield, Streetly Crematorium occupies a 27-acre expanse to the east of Walsall Borough. Established in 1984, its contemporary yet graceful architecture stands out with its sand-coloured brick walls crowned by asymmetrically angled roofs.
The dual chapels offer ample room for funeral services, accommodating 50 to 90 guests. Equipped with hearing loops and Braille service books, the chapels are fully accessible, with adjacent disabled toilets. Comprehensive music options include digital and CD facilities for commercially available tracks. Additionally, the chapels provide an organ for hymns, which can be played by your chosen organist.
The Memorial Gardens envelop the site with a mix of deciduous and evergreen trees, along with woodland-style flora. This serene setting offers space for scattering ashes. Alternatives include Bon Accord plaques, capable of holding two caskets, above-ground vaults, and granite curb plaques lining the garden pathways.
