Stourbridge Crematorium
Stourbridge Crematorium, established in 1960 and managed by Dudley Council, occupies a unique historical space. Repurposing an old chapel, the crematorium retains its charming original features, preserving its distinct character. This building, which dates back over a century, initially served for burials and held its first interment in 1879. Stourbridge Cemetery and Crematorium proudly serves as a Safe Places Venue.
Upon arrival, mourners can rest in the waiting room or enjoy the tranquil grounds. After the service, the chapel doors lead to a flower patio where tributes are displayed. The chapel's non-denominational nature allows for individualised services, accommodating various preferences. An organist and musical selections can be arranged. Families can even provide their organist, with practice time available. The service time of 30 minutes can be extended for a fee.
