West Berkshire Crematorium
West Berkshire Crematorium, located in the serene Thatcham countryside in Berkshire, offers extensive gardens of remembrance. Services at the crematorium have a duration of 45 minutes, including arrival and departure time, with the option to arrange longer services for an additional fee.
The purpose-built chapel at West Berkshire Crematorium is the largest in the county and can accommodate 96 mourners, with standing space for an additional 50 people. Services can be relayed to those outside the chapel through speakers, webcasted for remote viewers, and recorded on DVD. The crematorium provides a wide selection of music through its digital music system.
Floral tributes can be displayed outside the crematorium for at least two nights and donated for display inside the chapel. The Gardens of remembrance boast over 250 trees, with various traditional, contemporary, and living memorials available.
The crematorium offers 76 parking spaces, with more on the grounds as needed and has office hours from 9am to 5pm on weekdays, while the gardens of remembrance are open all year round from 8am to 6pm (April to October) and 8am to 5pm (November to March), and from 9am to 5pm on weekends and bank holidays.
