Peterborough Crematorium

Peterborough Crematorium

Peterborough Crematorium, established in 1958 and under the ownership and administration of Peterborough City Council, stands on approximately 26 acres of land, much of which remains as original ancient woodland. The presence of trees contributes to the serene atmosphere of the grounds, with vibrant carpets of bluebells and other wildflowers during the spring. The area attracts a diverse array of birds and animals, adding to the natural beauty.

Notably, Peterborough Crematorium has been awarded the Green Flag Award and holds the Gold Standard from the Charter for the Bereaved, reflecting their commitment to maintaining high service standards.

The facility also encourages engagement with nature, highlighting the diverse wildlife that inhabits the area. While squirrels and certain animals may pose challenges in formal areas, the crematorium aims to provide a place of comfort, tranquillity, and reflection.

Please remember: you need to book an appointment at the Peterborough Crematorium in order to discuss your plans. We’d be happy to help you do this, so feel free to get in touch with one of our personal advisers.
