Norse Road Crematorium and Cemetery is a stately multi-denominational facility that offers a variety of burial and cremation services. The crematorium has a chapel that can accommodate up to 150 mourners and a Garden of Remembrance where cremated remains can be interred or scattered. 

The cemetery also offers a variety of memorial options, including wall plaques, kerb plaques, dedicated rose bushes, dedicated trees, columbaria, and base blocks and tablets. Norse Road Cemetery also has a Woodland Burial section. 

The cemetery is open to the public from 8am to 4:30pm from November to February, from 8am to 8pm from April to September, and from 8am to 6pm in October and March. The crematorium offers guided tours for organisations and individuals. Crematorium staff, in addition to your funeral directors, are always willing to assist and answer your questions.

Directions

The crematorium is 18.9 km away from Bedford, and it should take 17 minutes to get there by car via the A421. Start your journey on Green Ln and Woburn Rd. Stay on Green Lane, and at the first roundabout, take the first exit onto Woburn Road. Then, take the fourth exit onto the A421 to Cambridge. Continue for around 8 minutes and then take the ramp to Bedford/A428/Gt Barford. At Renhold Interchange, take the first exit onto St Neots Rd/A4280. Continue on Norse Rd for 1.1 miles to reach your destination.

The nearest bus stations are Norse Road Cemetery and Elms Farm Industrial Estate. Norse Road Cemetery bus stop is about 4 minutes from the cemetery gate, while Elms Farm Industrial Estate is a 10-minute walk away.
